Senior Interior Designer – Team Leader (m/f/d)

with strong management and design skills (min. 03 years of hospitality design experience is required and is endorsed by hospitality brands) who can lead projects and manage a design team. This position will report to Studio Manager.
 

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Interior Design team and implement directives from Studio Manager in providing services per scope, budget, and schedule
• Design, develop, and document concepts for interiors and space planning
• Sketch preliminary designs and produce visulizations from 3D models that reflect the proposed floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and FF&E
• Create design presentations, mood boards, and material boards/binders to help convey look and feel of design concepts to clients
• Supervise, develop, and mentor interior designers to promote a culture of design excellence and creativity
• Prepare design specifications and coordinate with Studio Manager and technical team to ensure project completion in compliance with design intent and technical accuracy
• Acquire and integrate necessary inputs from Clients, Business Development team, and Production team to ensure alignment with project scope and objectives
• Interface with clients and deliver design presentations to them

Requirements

• 08+ years of experience in interior design, at least 03 years in hospitality
• Experience in commercial interior design or architecture is a strong advantage
• Prior experience in international project
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Master’s degree in Interior Design
• Minumum 01 recommendation letter from a hospitality brand (eg. Accor, Marriott International, InterContinental Hotels Group, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts)
• Must fluent written and spoken English and professionally work in English
• Be able to quickly learn and integrate into Vietnamese culture and the workflow of the company. Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on regulations, especially Vietnam building and fire codes
• Knowledgeable in materials, finishes, millwork design, FF&E, and OS&E
• Strong experience in spec writing
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Experience with all project phases, including built work; must have experience reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, field reports, punch list, resolving Construction Administration issues
• Expertise in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud; knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software are preferred but not required
• Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to meet fast-pace and changing deadlines
• Highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail
• Enthusiasm for working on multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative teams
